•Afteryoureplacetheprimaryharddiskdriveorsolid-statedrive,reattachthecoverofthedriveslot.
•Storeyourexternalandremovableharddiskdriveoropticaldrivesintheappropriatecontainersor
packagingwhentheyarenotbeingused.
•BeforeyouinstallamemorycardsuchasanSDcard,SDHCcard,SDXCcard,andaMultiMediaCard,
touchametaltableoragroundedmetalobject.Thisactionreducesanystaticelectricityfromyourbody.
Thestaticelectricitycoulddamagethedevice.
•Whiletransferringdatatoorfromaashmediacard,suchasanSDcard,donotputyourcomputerinto
sleeporhibernationmodebeforethedatatransferiscomplete;otherwise,yourdatacouldbecome

•Rememberyourpasswords.Ifyouforgetasupervisororharddiskpassword,Lenovowillnotresetit,and
youmighthavetoreplaceyoursystemboard,orharddiskdriveorsolid-statedrive.

Thefollowingactionscoulddamagethengerprintreaderorcauseitnottoworkproperly:
•Scratchingthesurfaceofthengerprintreaderwithahard,pointedobject.
•Scrapingthesurfaceofthengerprintreaderwithyourngernailoranythinghard.
•Usingortouchingthengerprintreaderwithadirtynger.
Ifyounoticeanyofthefollowingconditions,gentlycleanthesurfaceofthengerprintreaderwithadry,
soft,lint-freecloth:
•Thesurfaceofthengerprintreaderisdirtyorstained.
•Thesurfaceofthengerprintreaderiswet.
•Thengerprintreaderoftenfailstoenrollorauthenticateyourngerprint.

Cleaningthecoverofyourcomputer
Occasionallycleanyourcomputerbydoingthefollowing:
1.Prepareamixtureofagentlekitchen-usedetergent.Thedetergentmustnotcontainabrasivepowderor
strongchemicalssuchasacidoralkaline.Usevepartswatertoonepartdetergent.
2.Absorbthediluteddetergentintoasponge.
3.Squeezeexcessliquidfromthesponge.
4.Wipethecoverwiththesponge,usingacircularmotionandtakingcarenottoletanyexcessliquiddrip.
5.Wipethesurfacetoremovethedetergent.
6.Rinsethespongewithcleanrunningwater.
