8. Open a DOS screen and type the following command to connect to the remote LAN Windows 2000

Pro system (IP: 192.168.2.100 linked to 204.26.122.103, Computer name: win2k-pro) in the example:

telnet 204.26.122.103 / win2k-pro

9. If a connection is successful, the following statement will be displayed dealing with your password

information and will ask Do you want to send it anyway(y/n).

10. Answering Yes should display a welcome message.

11. The C: prompt is now in reference to the Win2k server on the LAN and you should be able to access

subdirectories.

This completes the configuration of the Windows 2000 remote client.
