IfanEncryptionsolid-statedriveoraDiskEncryptionharddiskdriveissupportedandinstalledinyour
computer,youcanlogicallydisposeofallthedataonthedriveinashorttimebyerasingthecryptographic
key.Thedataencryptedwiththeoldkeyisnotphysicallyerasedbutremainsonthedrive;however,it
cannotbedecryptedwithouttheoldkey.ThisfeatureisenabledbyThinkPadSetupMenuExtensionUtility
andisavailableasamenuiteminThinkPadSetup.
